Seven Hills Crafts Colour Challenge...
Hey,
I was rummaging through Instagram and I came across a challenge run by an English craft store - Seven Hills Crafts.
I really liked the pretty colours and the fruity theme - although you don't need to use fruit. You do need to use at least one product that Seven Hills sell in their store.
I decided to use the first colour palette (the one with the Strawberry).
I wanted the main focus of my card to be the awesome Pop Art stamp set by Concord and 9th. I stamped and die-cut two of the pineapples.
I die-cut a white panel using MFT stitched rectangle dies, I inked a Stampin' Up brushstroke stamp in pale green ink and spritzed it with water, before laying the die-cut panel on it.
I used a green spotty scrap of paper from Lawn Fawn and affixed it to the stamped panel using hot pink staples - gotta love hot pink staples!
I was a bit in a quandary about how to display the pineapples on the card and decided to set them up at an angle on the green spotty panel. I punched a a Stampin' Up label in hot pink and stamped the sentiment on it.
Obviously I had to add bling to finish off my card..
I am pretty pleased with it, it's quite a busy mix of colours and patterns, but I like that.
Cx

Hee hee… I know what you mean about those pineapples Claire… I die cut some pineapples ready for a card and arranged them every which way and they didn't look right at all… ended up taking them off and using something else instead! Lol.
ReplyDeleteBut so glad you persevered… as they look just perfect here…. LOVE the spotted panel against the stripes… really shows off the pineapples beautifully… and great idea to put the sentiment across them as it balances everything out! you are so clever!
Hope you are well and having a good week
Love and hugs, Sue B xx
