Fusion Card Challenge - Cloth Bunnies...

Hey,

Welcome to another fantastic Fusion Card Challenge.

This time we have 'Cloth Bunnies' for you! As always both the sketch and the inspiration image are awesome.

Which will you try?

You know I love to 'fuse'!

I love Bunnies! This 'Bunny Hugs' set by Unity Stamp Co is my FAVE of all my Bunny stamps. I think she is so elegant! I haven't been using her much, as I hate fussy cutting, but with the arrival last year of Big Sexy (my Brother ScanNCut) I have been able to cut her out a lot!

I love the white space in the sketch and tried to remain as true as I could to that. I stenciled a circle using a Tim Holtz heart stencil and cut it in half. The glittery strips are scraps from my desk (winning) and the sentiment is another all-time fave by Simon Says Stamp 'Square Sayings', so over used it has to be swiped with water to stick to the block!

Such a cute card and I loved it so much, I made two, well I did have the other half of the circle after all!

Make sure you check out all the rest of the inspiration by the DT over at the Fusion challenge blog, and play along with your own creation! When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo to inspire your makes. OR, if you are feeling adventurous, you can fuse them together (see what I did there!).

Can't wait to see your makes.

Challenge ends on April 12.

Retro Rubber Challenge #179 - 60's Colour Challenge...

Hey,

Welcome to another fun Retro Rubber challenge.

We have a fun colour challenge for you this time, use 60s colours!

I thought it would be fun to use this awesome set by Penny Black 'Be Happy' that I have had since 2020. I saw someone use it in a challenge and had to have it. I love all the fun animals that it has!

I chose the fabulous unicorn for this card, because I thought it would look great in the 60s colours. I used bright yellow, bright pink, bright green and add in a bright blue for a bit of extra punch!

Show us your interpretation of the sketch and pop over to Retro Rubber and get inspired by the things the DT have made.

Challenge ends April 8th.

Don't forget to tell us the age of your stamp, that is part of the fun of our challenge, and please only enter 10 challenges including Retro Rubber.

Fusion Card Challenge - Bookshelf...

Hey,

Welcome to another fantastic Fusion Card Challenge.

Slightly sad day for me, as after 3weeks my Momma is heading home to London today :(

Anyway, this will cheer me up! This time we have 'Bookshelf' for you! As always both the sketch and the inspiration image are awesome.

Which will you try?

As always I loved both, so I fused them!

I love bookshelves! And I thought it would be fun to dig out a very old set by The Ton 'Haute Books, which combines all my loves, coffee table books about fashion and stamps!

I decided to create a single-layer card and rather bravely for me stamped directly onto my card blank! I kept my colour palette simple and stamped my 'bookshelf' across the card to mimic the sketch. It felt like it needed a fun element, so I added a pair of shoes from The Ton 'Shoe Wardrobe 2' and I love it, I need to make more of these.

Challenge ends on March 29th.

Retro Rubber Challenge #178 - Anything Goes...

Hey,

WHOOPS!!! I got all confused and jumped ahead two weeks! So I am re-posting this one!

Welcome to another fun Retro Rubber challenge.

We have everyone's fave this time - Anything Goes!!

This is my fave challenge, as I get to raid my stash and I like to mix old with new.

The sentiment is by Concord & 9th from their 'Snail Mail' set that I got last year (Happy Birthday is from the Avery Elle set), paired with my all time fave Avery Elle 'I'm Late' snail stamp that I have had since 2017.

I kept the whole thing simple and popped my happy little snail for some interest. I love adding white gel pen to his balloon and hat.

What will you find in your older stash to play with? Can't wait to see, don't forget to pop over to Retro Rubber and get inspired by the things the DT have made.

Challenge ends March 25th.

Don't forget to tell us the age of your stamp, that is part of the fun of our challenge and please only enter 10 challenges including Retro Rubber.

Fusion Card Challenge - Turquoise Flower Bouquet...

Hey,

Welcome to another awesome Fusion Card Challenge.

This time we have 'Turquoise Flower Bouquet' for you! As always both the sketch and the inspiration image are awesome.

Which will you try?

No surprise here, as usual, I loved both, so I fused them!

I rotated the sketch and added a piece of coordinating paper to the bottom to match the sketch. As my stamp was so large it worked perfectly as the central piece of the sketch.

The stamp is a fave of mine by Concord & 9th 'Wonderful Florals'. Every time I used it, I have to watercolour it, as it is such a great canvas to do that with. I used Distress Inks to watercolour and iuile watercolours for the gold lettering, as IRL it gives the most amazing shimmer.

Another simple but impactful card.

Challenge ends on March 15th.

Retro Rubber Challenge #177... Tic Tac Toe...

Hey,

What a mistake! I didn't post this card for the last challenge!

Welcome to another fun Retro Rubber challenge.

We have a tic tac toe board.

I chose the diagonal row - Metallics, Die-cut or Punch, Twine.

I love this set by Taylored Expressions 'Abstract Accents & Stencil' that I got late last year, and I mixed in an old fave by Neat & Tangled 'Landscape Textures' that I have had since 2017. The hello die is one of my all-time faves by Simon Says Stamp and I use it a lot.

So easy and fun to make this card, you just play around with the stencils and the stamps and create a fun abstract background!

I finished it off with a piece of twine to match the row I chose.

Which row will you choose? Pop over to Retro Rubber and get inspired by the things the DT have made.

Challenge ends March 11th.

Don't forget to tell us the age of your stamp, that is part of the fun of our challenge and please only enter 10 challenges including Retro Rubber.
