Simon Says Stamp: Stamptember Critter Crowd..
Hey,
Happy Monday (from Mexico).
I love Stamptember over at Simon Says Stamp, there are always so many fun collaborations.
This year I bought two sets, one of them I used on today's 'Critter Crowd' - the other set, you'll see soon.
I started by stamping and watercolouring the critters and the balloons. If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen my little video about this step - I am attempting to make videos, they are a bit janky right now, but practice makes perfect ;)
I then stamped the Happy Birthday and created a little mask for it, so I could blend over it to create the pretty pink and orange background you see. I watercoloured the sentiment too and then added my critters and the balloons, all popped up using foam tape.
Such a pretty card, I can't wait to play with this stamp set a bit more.

Retro Rubber Challenge #108... Colour Challenge..
Hey,
Welcome to another fun Retro Rubber challenge.
This time we are all about the rainbow colours..
I used scraps of Lawn Fawn spotty papers - they release different ones all the time and if you don't have at least one pack you should!
I trimmed all the papers to roughly the same width and adhered them to my card (whilst singing 'red and yellow and pink and green..'). Then I trimmed the whole panel to size using a MFT stitched rectangle die.
I decided to use one of the sweet mice / cats / critters from a 2017 Stamptember set by Simon Says Stamp and Mama Elephant.
No longer available, so here is a photo of it -
True confession, I bought this set in 2017 and have never used it, because it was a little bit too cute for me!
Because my card and the challenge are all about rainbows, I chose to use the sunshine and rainbows sentiment.
It's so cute, I love it and it came out exactly as I had pictured it.
Looking forward to seeing your rainbow creations, don't forget to pop over to Retro Rubber and get inspired by the things the DT have made.
Challenge ends April 19th.
Don't forget to tell us the age of your stamp, that is part of the fun of our challenge and please only enter 10 challenges including Retro Rubber.

Moving Along With The Times..Let's Eat Cake...
Hey,
Today I am your hostess over at the Moving Along With The Times challenge.
As it is nearly my birthday (well, two weeks away) I thought we would go with a Birthday Cake theme.
Any cake will do, really I'm not fussy :)
I used a fave stamp Brittany the Birthday girl by Stamping Bella, I love her dress, it looks like cake... I coloured her using Promarkers and then masked her off, so I could stencil in the fun background. The stencil is by Dutch Doobadoo.
The sentiment is by Hero Arts for Stamptember two years ago and I thought it worked perfectly here, stamped onto a stray hexagon punch that was on my desk..love it when that happens.
Your turn now to join in the fun, show us your creations, but first hop over to MAWTT and see what the rest of the team have been making.
Challenge ends on Sept 28th (actually my birthday) at 6pm GMT.

Moving Along With The Times...Come Dancing..
Hey,
Welcome to another great challenge from the Moving Along With The Times team.
This time our hostess is Hazel and her theme is 'Come Dancing'
I decided to dig out a fun stamp by Simon Says Stamp and Art Impressions for Stamptember. I love these fun AI stamps. They have a whole range with a group of older ladies having a lot of fun.
I coloured this card using Promarkers - imagining my group of friends and I when we are a bit older..dancing it out!
The sentiment came with the set and I stamped it onto a die-cut banner, that matches the card blank.
Simple and fun.
Now it's your turn, but first go over to MAWTT and check out the creations by my teammates.
Challenge ends on 13th April.

Dance like no one is watching...
Hi,
Hope you had a great weekend.
I had a fantastic one. It was great to hang with Cheiron...despite the 7hr journey and the loftartreatreat was great fun - ever better as I knew people, I also managed to come home with a few Lawn Fawn items..
Then to add the icing on my cake of a weekend, I made the top 3 over at Shopping Our Stash..with my Wooden it be nice Hippo - Yay!!
Today I am using x2 items of NBUS....I really have to stop buying things..
This card is for my friend Lindsay, it is her birthday later in the week and the fab stamp by Art Impressions for SSS Stamptember reminded me of her and her girl posse!
The sentiment is a freebie from a card magazine my Ma gave me and I thought it worked well here. It is also, in my opinion, a phrase to live by!
I coloured the image with a mix of Promarkers and Distress Inks with an aquabrush. The large stitched die for the image is my fave and by SSS.
Simples..which I seem to be doing a lot of..

NYC Playdate Part 1...
Hey,
So here I am in London, finally posting some of the cards that JT and I made LAST Sunday on our NYC playdate.
What a hoot that was - so much fun to have JT and her hubby here with us and for JT to finally get a proper play with my stash - how I miss the playdates we used to have when we were both in London.
The headline card is my fave out of this batch...
I used a fun technique of inking a stamp with Distress Ink and spritzing it with water and then you lay the paper ontop..
I then die-cut this using butterfly dies by Xcut. The sentiment is a freebie from Quick Cards that my Ma bought me - isn't it gorgeous!
The next card uses my new fave pineapple background stamp. I thought it went well with my new Avocado Arts Flamingo. The sentiment is by WPlus9.
This card feels really Summery to me.
I bought the great new stamp and die set by Simon Says Stamp & Mama Elephant - Skater Kids. It is part of the special Stamptember releases and I wanted it so badly, I bought it online from Mexico!!
I love the fact that all the animals and shorts are interchangeable. The little skid marks are fun too. All the sentiments I used are from the set.
I kept the card simple to showcase the skating dog!
Final card in this epic post - using a great Simon Says Stamp die. I die cut it using 4 sheets of patterned paper by My Mind's Eye and a brown outline piece. JT and I got a set each and we pieced them together.
I added another one of the great freebie stamps from Quick Cards and this card really does make me smile and feel happy.
You can see JT's cards here and here.

Boldly go into Stamptember...
Hey,
Happy Friday - I didn't post yesterday as it was a bit too busy on Weds and I just couldn't find the energy to take the photos - but to make up for it, I added a few sequins to my 'photography studio'.
One of the WOYWWer's had entered the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge this week - Boldly go into Stamptember..
You had to go bold with your stamping.
This was SO much fun, I made x4 cards (all going to OWH)..I decided to stick with roughly the same tools - Mustard Seed Distress Ink, a Heidi Swapp stamp, a Heidi Swapp heart stencil, and a Tim Holtz Honeycomb stencil.
The main photo is my entry and final card. Super pleased with this, love the turquoise against the mustard yellow and the little pieces of bling really work for me!
The next 3 cards are almost identical, they each have a little twist.

Have a great weekend everyone - I will be chilling and having a playdate with JT.
