Happy Travels...

Hey,

Happy Friday!

At work we are doing weekly fun crafty things, each week we can do a photography challenge and/or a craft challenge.

This week the craft challenge theme was Travel.

I thought it was a great opportunity to use a piece of NBUS from 2020 - Happy Travels by Clearly Besotted.

I stamped all the iconic buildings/statue's in different brightly coloured inks, which was a lot of fun and I used a variety of my inks, Colorbox, Tsukineko, Altenew and Concord & 9th. I tend to use blocks for this kind of stamping, I love using acrylic blocks for certain things, I have a big collection of them and I am very particular about how clean I keep them. I added the little sentiments from the set in black for stand-out.

I had a bit of a smudge with the orange Eiffel Tower, so I die-cut one and popped it up, it actually added a bit of fun interest.

Hope you have a great weekend, I will be at my desk tomorrow and watching my Buccs in the Superbowl on Sunday - GO BUCCS!!!

There is still time for you to join in with the latest Retro Rubber challenge.

Show us what your fave mode of transportation is and pop over to Retro Rubber and be inspired by my teammates.

Don't forget to use a stamp older than a year on your project and tell us all about it, that is a big part of the Retro Rubber fun. Also please feel free to combine our challenge with others, but keep it to a maximum of 10 challenges including ours.

Challenge ends on Oct. 6th.

Retro Rubber Challenge #72 Transportation..

Hey,

Time for another fun challenge from the Retro Rubber team.

This is one of my fave themes -

I decided my focus would be the travel part and I would have a kind of 'where's wally?' thing going on with my Taxi. Also the best thing about living in NYC is Yellow Cabs, so I had to use one.

The masked circle was a technique that JT and I practiced in Margate, I thought it would work well here. The Statue of Liberty, Apples,Taxi and sentiment are from Kelly's NYC set by Hero Arts from early 2016, so about 18mths old.

I recently bought the bridge die second-hand and I thought it made a great focal point for my Taxi to travel over!

The bling is covering a few spots of ink, love a bling fix!

I love this card, it looks a bit like a snowglobe I think. I was seriously tempted to keep it, but instead I sent it to a good friend.

6th.

Retro Rubber #24..Travel...there is still time to play..

There is still time for you to play along with the latest challenge from the Retro Rubber team.

As I said last week, I have so much stash dedicated to this Travel theme..

So I thought why not make you another card :)

This is a fave stamp of mine, I bought it the first year we moved to NYC (2013) to make my Christmas cards with and there is a London version too, which I also used. They are both by Penny Black.

Kept it simple here - black die cut panel with the image heat embossed in white.

Your turn now - show us your fab travel projects, first pop over to Retro Rubber and check out the fabulous creations by my awesome teammates.

Challenge ends on October 9th and don't forget to use a stamp older than a year and tell us about it.
