Hey,
Welcome to another fantastic Retro Rubber challenge.
This theme is one of my faves..I do love a sketch!
I was stuck for a while, I tried a few things and then decided on a Yeti in Palm Fronds. Yes it is official I have gone mad!! Yeti's live in the cold!!
Anyway, I blended the background on Tim Holtz woodgrain watercolour paper, I love this paper, this is my fave look, when you lay a baby wipe down and pat it a bit, you kind of get snow?
Then I die-cut the finished panel to size and then added the handcut triangles.
I popped my stamped, cut, coloured Yeti under one of the 'Fronds' and then stamped the sentiment, I love this stamp set, it is by Lawn Fawn and I've had it since 2014. It was my first Yeti stamp and I use it a lot.
I love the end result, he's a bit weird and that's ok.
Check out what my awesome teammates have made over at Retro Rubber and show us your interpretation of the sketch.
Don't forget to use a stamp older than a year on your project and tell us all about it, that is a big part of the Retro Rubber fun. Also please feel free to combine our challenge with others, but keep it to a maximum of 10 challenges including ours.
Challenge ends on October 24th.

Great card. I knew he was jumping out from behind a tree before I read your thoughts x
ReplyDeleteSo He jumps out to ask for a hug? That would be a Yeti, for sure! Great watercolor background, making him a great focal point for this cute CAS card. I love your imagination, Claire! I would never have thought of this one LOL!
ReplyDeleteLOL that's right Debbie, jumps out to give you a big hug..I think there is something wrong with my crazy imagination!
ReplyDeleteI think if that yeti jumped out to give me a hug, I'd be so busy running I'd forget my troubles! I like your humour!
ReplyDeleteLove your hanging Yeti, I would totally give him a hug, he is so cute.
ReplyDeleteFabulous background and great take on the sketch.
Hugs,
Maria.
