WOYWW 192 - Finished Clock

Happy WOYWW everyone. Once again the time has flown and here we are again. Pop over to meet Julia at Stamping Ground if you don't know what I'm talking about!

As you can see on my desk, I have the finished clock, which I am actually going to give to my Ma when I see her later on - hence why it is there as I am going to wrap it. I think it looks great and it was really easy to do. I have another clock face and mechanism, so I need to think about who to give that one to.

Here's a close-up photo of the clock -
Finished Clock
On my desk today is a random assortment of things (as usual)...to the left is a Kenny K stamp (loving these right now) balanced on the card she is going on for a friend's 40th, a couple of promarkers, doilies incl new coloured ones (swoon). In the middle is a lone heart - I need a teeny sentiment for Hubby's card (any advice here would be useful), a card that I have started making with doilies and paper flowers - the paper flowers are from a batch that I have made for no particular reason...I just wanted to see what I'd end up with - you can see the rest at the top right. Also there are a couple of punches, my glasses, a corner rounder, some tools and bling scattered around (I dropped the bag this morning whilst trying to shoo a Furchild off of my desk).

Pretty tidy today - but to be totally honest I did have a tidy up last night..is that cheating?

I'm off now to hang out with my Ma, I'll be doing my desk nosying when I get back :)

p.s almost forgot to mention the new dressform you can just see in the right hand corner - I've wanted this for so long, but it was £20...£.4.99 in the sale - YAY!

A little challenge

Hey there. I thought that I would try and enter a few more challenges whilst I am off. Today's main photo was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch -

I really liked the sketch and I am very pleased with the results.

I used scraps and strangely enough the sentiment chipboard, matches the background paper perfectly! Once again you can see my fave Spellbinders ornate frame die, I am totally over using it at the moment! I am also loving JT's butterfly punch right now, really should return that soon....

Here's a close-up -

I'm also going to enter it here -

Journal Pages - January

So I finished the first page of my new 2013 journal.

I am very pleased with the result. It's the first time that I have attempted a photo style journal and I like it!

The photos on the page are of - Mexican night! My leaving do, the snow and my new nail colour! Here is a close-up.

I've realised that I probably need to plan my space better...

Here's a sneak preview of the layout for February. I changed the layout, as I felt that with the delay to the big move, there would be more use of 2 pages in Feb. I have lots planned this month, so I should be able to fill it :)
Feb Journal Pages
I like the look of the Feb layout, it's got some of the new Grace Taylor Journaling tags that I got on sale and a bit of bling!

Random Ideas..

So my first few days off have been fun, I've managed to pack in quite a lot!! I also managed to Skype with my friend Michelle who recently moved to Hawaii from Seattle!

I've also been making all kinds of random things, I've been thinking about being off for so long that I now have lots of ideas in my head...

The main photo today is of this month's free gift - when people by something from my site, I like to throw in a freebie, it's easy to do and not very expensive.

This month, I am giving customers x4 mini thank you cards. Made using x3 punches, round, scalloped oval and JT's butterfly. I stamped the sentiment and voila! freebies are ready.

I've also just started making a clock...random I know, but on my fave cheapo craft site, they had the clock faces and the mechanisims for £1 each?! It would be rude not to buy those and have a go.

The photo below shows the clock face and the paper I have cut to decorate it. I am planning on cutting butterflies out of the gold paper (also shown) and using them to indicate 12, 3, 6 and 9.

Pretty nifty eh? I think I'll give this one to my Ma.

I also made this bespoke Valentine's card -

My friend's boyf sent me a text asking for a special card for her. For some reason I really wanted to use a raunchy stamp for this card..Finally an excuse to buy a Kenny K stamp! This stamp is from the Krash Kittenz range and she's called Penny Pitstop. The background is a Pink Petticoat paper. I'm really pleased with the end result, I hope my friend and the boyf are too :)

WOYWW 191 - First day of leisure

Happy WOYWW!

It's my first day of leisure or packing - I prefer leisure, packing can wait ;)

I'm actually writing this in my pj's for the first time ever!! YAY!! I have had a great week and I am happy for it to be that time of the week already!! Join me and many others over at Stamping Ground with Julia, for our weekly desk viewing. Go to Julia's blog to find out more.

My desk is looking considerably tidier than last week!

So what's on my desk!
My new doilies, I've got some Pinterest inspiration printed out, which you can see. The doilies are really sweet, they are quite small and I bought them on eBay. There are bows, my glasses, some flowers for a project that is in my head, left over butterflies, my fave stack of Martha Stewart inks and a couple of glue rollers. Next week I have set aside a day to play with the air dry clay I bought last year...I bought these plunger moulds that you can see and I am going to make pendants and brooches, but I was also thinking they would be cute framed?

Here is a close of of one of the flower moulds -

I've also had a successful week selling Valentine's cards and other things on the website - yay! This is great news and random, who knew how popular Valentine's Day was?!

I'm going into town to the most amazing Paperchase ever, it's on Tottenham Court Road and if you are ever in London, go there!! Yay! It's treat time :)

Oh and WOYWW'ers - go to Monday's post to see the finished Scottie and Anniversary cards :)
