Catch The Bug GDT: Theme Make a Splash...

Happy Saturday to you!

My Momma is here and we are heading to Philly tomorrow, but today we will be lunching and loafing around in NYC.

I'm still with the Catch The Bug team for their Saturday challenge. 

This week we have a great theme - Make a Splash

I am a huge fan of all the Poppi stamps, so it was a no-brainer for me to use a Poppi stamp for this challenge. I chose 'Water Toy'.

I coloured the image, using Promarkers and then die-cut it using a stitched square die by Lawn Fawn. The background paper is also by Lawn Fawn. I added a glittery silver strip for a bit of interest.

The sentiment is from an old set by Simon Says Stamp 'Flip Flop Season' and it totally reflects my hopes for less rain and more sun!

Have a Monster Birthday...

Happy Monday...

I love this Monster set by Lawn Fawn and recently I got my hands on the dies, they have been out of stock forever it feels like (but they are quite old).

I've been seeing lots of things stacked up on cards lately and I really wanted to try it.

I loved stacking these little monsters and I even die-cut the 'batster' and popped him out -

Cute right?! In the close-up shot you can see the marks where I dropped one of my stamps as I was stamping the sentiment - ugh! But no re-doing..I reserve that for disasters, not oops moments!

I added some googly eyes because everyone loves a googly eye!!

I'm entering this card into the current I Love Promarkers Challenge - Birthday, I used Heatwave, Bright Orange, Emerald, Lime, Baby Pink, Ice Grey 4 and 5, Cyan and Berry Red promarkers.

I am also entering it into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Let's Go Wild..because a Monster is totally a wild animal right?! LOL.

This is for the Son of my friend, he apparently loves 'Mummy's foreign friends cards' so I always feel like I have to 'up' my game to live up to this reputation I have..this is why I am not a parent..

Take Us to Your Cake...

Happy Long Weekend - whoop whoop.

Today is recovering from last night in Atlantic City day and tomorrow is closet tidy day for me - boo.

I recently bought the great Alien Invasion stamp set from Gerda Steiner Stamps.

I saw a couple of cards made with it and the sentiments really caught my eye.

This is the first card I made and I made it quickly the night the stamp set arrived..could not resist.

I saw JT playing along with this week's I love Promarkers challenge - which is anything goes and thought I'd join in the fun too :)

I used Lime Twist, Orange and Frosted Jade Promarkers to colour the aliens..I added the spots using the orange Promarker.

I love masking things right now, it works so well if you want to blend the background.

This is such a fun set, I can't wait to play with it a bit more.
