CAS on a Friday..On a Monday...

Hey,

Hope you had a good weekend, I had a fun time.

It's an exciting week for me, Hubby returns home and then two days later my Momma arrives. SWEET!!

I saw the latest challenge 'Make a card with embossing' over at CAS on Friday and I wanted to play along.

It was the perfect excuse to use new Monsters from Create a Smile (Monster Party), that I coloured yesterday morning for The Daily Marker 30 day Colouring.

I used a fave Sizzix big spots embossing folder, I have had it years!! I chose a bright yellow piece of paper, I thought my monster would pop against it.

I then die-cut the embossed piece using dies from The Works in the UK, I bought them last year, but I have only used them once!

I added a sentiment from the Monster set and boom! finished card and of course a googly eye!

It was so easy and fun I made another one ;)

MAWTT: Adding Red...

Hey,

I really liked JT's choice of theme over at MAWTT this time and so I thought I'd play along.

Also her card is AMAZING!!

Her theme is black, white + another colour.

I went with red for my other colour.

I kept this card pretty simple and used a new to me (second-hand from Cheiron) Waffle Flower 'Circle Flower' set.

I stamped the stems and flowers and messily coloured the flowers, using Zigs and a paintbrush. I added a few red dots here and there for an added bit of colour and the sentiment is from the same set.

Super simple, but the red makes it all pop and works really well with the set.

Sketch Saturday #516 Fabrika Fantasy..Funny Friends

Hey,

Happy Saturday to you and welcome to the latest sketch for the Sketch Saturday challenge.

Our sponsor this week is Fabrika Fantasy and they are offering 3 digis as a prize.

Here's the sketch...

When I saw the Funny Friends stamp, I knew it would work really well with the sketch and I thought it would be fun to colour too.

For some reason I went with brown tones, no idea why, but I like how it all worked out.

I decided to add some spots to my bottom critter, which is a great tip I learnt from Kathy Rac and it really makes a difference. I hunted through my stash for a sentiment small enough to fit that teeny tiny die-cut square and then made it even more complicated by heat embossing it!!

I can't wait to see what you do with the sketch, but first check out what the rest of the DT have made over at Sketch Saturday.

Challenge ends June 8th 7pm GMT / 2pm EST

Catch The Bug GDT: June Anything Goes

Hey,

Happy Saturday to you!

This is my last weekend without Hubby, he'll be back on Tuesday and then my Momma arrives for two weeks on Thursday, super exciting week for me!

This is the start of my third month with the  Catch The Bug team for their Saturday challenge.

This week we have everyone's fave - Anything Goes.

One of my fave things about Bugaboo stamps is the humor in some of them, like the stamp I chose for today - Chickz - Holy Cluck :)

As always I coloured the image, using Promarkers. I used a new to me die to die-cut the image, I'm a little bit in love with this die, I bought it second-hand and I knew it would get overused. I added a sparkly strip for a bit of interest and used Nuvo glitter drops here and there on the image.

Hope you will be playing along too. Can't wait to see your makes.

Upload your makes at the Catch The Bug blog and check out the rest of the DT makes.

CASology: Squiggle..

Hey,

Happy Friday to you!

I've had a good week on my own without Hubby. I've mainly been in the gym or at my desk..when I am not at work, no crazy nights out..

Today is a bit exciting as it is the start of both the 30 days of colouring AND ICAD 2018.. can't wait!

This week's CASology cue card had a lot of possibilities..

I thought it would be great to break out a stamp set I bought earlier this year - 'Bokeh Dots' by Ellen Hutson and Julie Ebersole.

I think the scribbly circles count as squiggles - right?

I bought the crazy Zebra embellishment last year in the Michael's Black Friday sale and forgot about them, until I came across them this week!

The sentiment felt like a perfect fit for this card and is by Gerda Steiner from the 'Llama Tell You' set.

A fun, easy to make card and I have x3 more Zebra's left, so I might make another one..

It also feels a teeny bit like a Tenia Nelson card..she is one of my craft crushes (swoon..)

Have a great weekend, I'll be gyming, lunching, playing at my desk.

And to quote Tenia..Werd!
