Sketch Saturday: #458 Coffee and Donuts...

Hey,

So it's time for another great Sketch Saturday...

Our sponsor this week is Drawn with Character Digital stamps and they are offering a prize of three digital stamps.

Here is the sketch.
I used the awesome We go together like Coffee and Donuts stamp to create a fun background.
I coloured it with Promarkers and added glossy accents to the donuts to give a more glazed feel.

The strips of yellow paper are scraps from my scrapbox and I used the same scrap to die-cut the rectangle for the sentiment which is by Unity Stamp Co.

This card makes me smile every time I see it.

Your turn now, but first go over to Sketch Saturday and check out what the rest of the DT have done with the sketch.

Challenge ends 14 April 7pm GMT / 2pm EST

Reverse Confetti..Toucan...

Hey,

Happy Friday!

My first week back at work has been good, but tiring.

Again my friend Jen is pointing me in the direction of fun challenges, this time in the form of Reverse Confetti..
I am reasonably new to Reverse Confetti products, I have seen them around and have had a few things in my wish list for a while, but I just got my first set - Toucan of Friendship, I feel this is the start of a happy purchasing spree...

I love this set so much, it makes me so happy because it is just crying out to be coloured in bright colours.

I die-cut a white panel using MFT wonky stitched dies, I found the pink panel in my circle die envelope and thought it was kismet, as it coordinated perfectly.

I coloured the Toucan, flower and leaves with Promarkers and once I mounted them onto the pink circle, I added glossy accents to the Toucan's beak.

It all felt a bit flat, so I went around the sides of the card with an ancient Bo Bunny stitches stamp, much better.

Have a great weekend, don't forget to come back and check out the latest Sketch Saturday sketch tomorrow.

Ohmygawsh you're on fire...

Hey,

My Auntie Connie LOVES Dragons and I mean LOVES them...

So when she saw one of my Instagram posts announcing the arrival of the MFT Magical Dragons set, she was all 'when am I getting one' LOL.

To throw her off the scent, I sent her another Dragon card using a Bugaboo stamp..

Last weekend I had a play with the MFT Dragons and created this card for her.

I coloured the Dragon and the flame using Zigs.

I die-cut the stitched square panel first, then I used a Dutchdoobadoo cloud stencil and distress ink to create the background.

The 'Ohmygawsh' is by CASual Friday stamps and I recently bought the set that it comes in second hand, mainly because it had 'AH-Mazing' in it and I say that all the time!

The second part of the sentiment came with the Dragon set.

Once I had put the card together, I added glossy accents to the flame.

I hope she loves it, it should arrive any minute now..

WOYWW #306...Getting my ATC on...

Hey,

Happy WOYWW everyone!!

I can't believe it's been a week and a half since I broke my foot..I am back at work and it's all quite painful and annoying!

However, I am feeling quite pleased today, as I managed to finish half my ATC's for the WOYWW 312 Swap. I am making 8, so with one for the peeps either side of me that leaves 6 for swapping with other lovely WOYWWers, so just leave me a message or contact me before then and I'll keep one aside for you.

For those of you that are wondering what on earth I am talking about, pop over to the lovely Julia's blog Stamping Ground and join us for the weekly global desk nosy that is WOYWW.

My desk this week, gives you a sneak peek of my ATCs, you can see the stamp sets I am using and some of the papers that I'll be using to make mini envelopes.

You will also notice that I have a thing for acrylic stamp blocks...I have to confess, this is a small part of my block 'Collection'...yes I have a problem!

As always a card for you -

JT and I recently bought a big batch of Bugaboo stamps and this was one of them. So much fun to colour and it uses 3 things that I learnt / bought at the loft art retreat last month - super easy banner technique, Lawn Fawn stitched square die and glossy accents for the glasses.

Have a great day everyone.
