WOYWW #240..Leisure time

Hey there,

It is indeed that time of the week again where we join our wonderful host Julia for WOYWW. Pop over to Julia's blog Stamping Ground to find out all about WOYWW and join in the fun.

Leisure time I hear you ask? Well for me it is, I am sitting about waiting for my next job to start...which gives me time to focus on all the sewing projects that I have in my head. I have been busy cutting patterns, pinning squares together for a quilt and will start sewing tomorrow. It also means I get to stay in and avoid the horrid NYC weather (-14 with a real feel of -24 anyone?!...brr).

On to my desk..this week its rather busy..there are some Stamping Bella stamps that I have already coloured, some new teacup stamps, that I am going to watercolour - hence the box of Gelatos and an aquabrush. My glasses and a pencil.

At the back of my desk you can see a card that I have finished using a Stamping Bella image. Here is the close-up..can you spot the error?

Now before Christmas I showed you the little advent calendar bags I had made for Hubby..I can't remember if I ever showed you a photo of it all hung up? Well here it is. He loved it and it was fun every day watching him open it.

Advent Calendar for Hubby
Finally before this post gets too epic, here is a photo of Hubby in his Pig Apron that I made him on Sunday! He asked for an apron and then decided he wanted a diagram of pig cuts on it!! His wish is my command :)

Happy WOYWW everyone.

  5. Hi Claire!!! In Missouri, we are also very cold. Just glad today is above freezing, though a new snow storm arrives this afternoon. I've been fortunate to work from home, but today I have to go in. I'm doing my WOYWW visits before I undertake the drive to work. The left-hand card made me laugh! Out Loud! I have SOOO done that. Were you just dying laughing taking that picture? Thank you for sharing your creative journey!

  7. Hi Claire - great projects - how many times have I done that upside down card thing! Love that pig apron and your model looks very fetching in it too! Hope your horrible weather improves quickly - stay warm and safe. MMx #56

  8. Oh, Claire, the joys of the newly married! "His wish is my command," LOL! JK, I still feel that way about Mister, just not 24/7 at this point! His apron ROCKS! (I'm originally from Iowa where pork is king!!)

Now about your card. If it weren't for the scooter, she could be doing headstands with excitement about something! Maybe she is VERY good at yoga and can stand on her head while holding up a scooter?! Listen, it's prolly been done!!

Happy WOYWW and have a wonderful week! Thanks for visiting me!! Stay warm!! Hugs, Darnell

  10. I'm not a card maker, so seeing that card open from the left had me laughing. As did the PIG apron. Loved how you made it for your hubby and he obliged with a photo.

Yep, your weather is MY weather. Seems over 1/2 the country is still in the deep freeze. Happy WOYWW from #5 and thanks for the previous visit.

  12. Much better to just stay indoors where you are from what I hear. Over here we are spending as much time as we can outside at the pool, to hot to function indoors!
Looks like hubby is as pleased as punch with that apron.
    Happy WOYWW!

  14. Hi Claire me again. I'm looking for papercraft challenges, not card making though. I'd also be interested in art journaling challenges. I've found a few but it is always interesting to get someone else's input. Thanks in advance. MMx

  15. You are a very talented lady and it is so lovely to hear your hubby enjoys your talents too. That is so nice...my hubby supports my crafting but isn't really 'into' it. Lucky You! Vikki #108
