Ha ha yes I am still at home, despite the fact that I need to go back to work for financial and sanity reasons. The market is a bit slow, so I am sitting here waiting for my next job...
All good for me really, means I still get to do 'live action' WOYWW with Julia and the rest of the gang over at Stamping Ground.
This is how I left my desk last night before rushing out to see my friend Lianne who is over from Dubai.
I was midway through a couple of challenge entries, as you can see from the two stacks of yellow - they are separate cards. I have been feeling spring focussed this week, so there are leaf punches and papers to use for leaf punching. There is also my random circle dot punch. And in a little pile at the back of my desk are a few punched hearts, a charm and some twine for a random project I have in my head. No glasses...hmmm wonder where they are?!
I finished one of the cards this morning after I took the photo, so I could show it to you and enter it into the Mojo Monday #283 challenge.
Here is their sketch -
And here is my card - you can see it on my desk - only change being that I embossed the yellow rectangle of paper for a bit more stand-out and added 2 pearls. I really like this card, feels a bit teenage girl? What do you guys think?

The yellow is so cheerful! I see what you mean about the square being hard to tie in but I think this is really balanced.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you craft buddy, I had to rummage through every single paper I own to find that piece of gold sparkly stuff!
DeleteBeautiful card, love the warm yellows the colour of daffodils x
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW Heather #59
Love the bright colours on your desk today, I'm seeing a lot of what looks like Spring today on people's desk, mine included. The card turned out great.

I'm loving all the yellow, it's so bright and cheerful, your card looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe punch on my desk is a flower one, there was an even smaller one I was using for the middles, they are great for using up all your scraps.
thanks for stopping by and Happy WOYWW

I like the yellow, it's warm and friendly and smiley and I would cheerfully give this to a guy or gal. Get my seventies DJ language!!
ReplyDeleteJulia I am digging your 70's dj language, it kinda suits the hippy sunshine vibe of the card :) Cx
DeleteLove the sunny card

Well, good, I take it you found your glasses, Claire, since you were able to finish up your wonderful card! I love all that lemony yellow goodness and definitely think it's girlie. After that I think it's perfect for any girlie, any age. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by the Playhouse earlier. I hope you have a wonderful couple of weeks until I see you again! Darnell #50
Darnell, I hope it all goes well with your sisters. Thanks for making time to stop by and yes I did find my glasses :) Cx

ReplyDeleteScrumptious yellows, happy and spring like, oh could we do with some sunshine here in the UK. Thanks for sharing BJ#69
ReplyDeleteLovely shades of yellow. That card is so cute and definitely teen girl territory.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit, and I totally agree fathers are very naughty! Mine won't take his meds either. I've to go every morning and every night to make sure his inhalers and others are taken.
Kids are all grown now and he's more like a stroppy teenager each week!
I'm late visiting for WOYWW as was offline yesterday,
Have a good week
