Papercrafter's Corner...Magazine Cover Challenge #153..
Hey,
Happy Weekend to you.
So I am playing along with the Magazine Cover Challenge again - over at Papercrafters Corner.
Last week was my first time playing along and I won!! How awesome is that.
This week's magazine cover made me smile -
The little girl is so cheeky!
I remembered that I had an ancient digital stamp by Birdie Brown that kind of reminded me of the girl and the puppy.
I printed two versions of the stamp, one plain and one with the girl's coat in Blue Check..to match the cover ;)
I fussy cut the coat out and paper pieced it over the blank version and then coloured and stickled the rest of the image.
As you can see I used red accents for the girl and her puppy, just like the Magazine cover.
I used a cream card blank, to replicate the background and I chose a sentiment that was big and bold, just like the Magazine title.
It's a very cute card that is going into my very mini Christmas card stash (I really need to start making Christmas cards..)
Another fun Magazine Cover Challenge..I will probably miss the next two - boo! As I am heading to London late next week..

Congratulations on your win. I really don't do heat, I've no idea how you cope, even with air con. My lovely polycotton uniform isn't designed for warm weather at all! Cara x
ReplyDeleteVery cute and the perfect stamp for this week's challenge.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this couldn't be more perfect! That little girl with her dog and gingham coat is a great take on the magazine monday inspiration. Good for you, starting early on your Christmas cards too. I vow to do that every year but somehow December comes with only one or two made!
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable image and card!! And congrats on last week's win and sounds like you are going to have a fabulous trip to go on now!!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent play on that cover challenge, really impressed with your paper piecing and fussy cutting. You are making me feel like a lazy slob with your christmas card makes recently...x
