Fusion Card Challenge - Decor

Hey,

Welcome to another fantastic Fusion Card Challenge.

This time we have 'Decor' as a theme for you. As always both the sketch and the inspiration image are awesome, I mean how awesome is that desk/office space?!

Which will you try?

You know me right!! I had to fuse them..

I loved the desk space and I thought that the sketch would work well with Paper Smooches 'Abode' - sadly PS closed last year, I love Kim's stamps so much, I really miss them.

I do not have the dies, so I stamped and coloured the x3 images and fussy cut (ugh) them out. I arranged them over my 'wallpaper' strip into a little cluster to match the sketch.

No sentiment, as I didn't think it needed it.

I'm pretty pleased with this little scene card.

Make sure you check out all the rest of the inspiration by the DT over at the Fusion challenge blog, and play along with your own creation! When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo to inspire your makes. OR, if you are feeling adventurous, you can fuse them together (see what I did there!).

Can't wait to see your makes.

Challenge ends on June 8.

Retro Rubber Challenge #159 Anything Goes...

Hey,

Welcome to another fun Retro Rubber challenge.

This time we have everyone's fave - Anything Goes.

I have to apologise, no matter what I did, I couldn't get the sentiment to appear sharp in my photos.. I took this photo like a MILLION times.

I love this set of 'Hipster' animals by Tim Holtz, I have had them since 2018 and I got the dies as a gift from a friend a couple of years ago.

I kept this card simple and just stamped a strip of leopard print along one edge of the red paper - that stamp is actually a new one from Amy Tangerine 'Brave & Bold'.

I added the hilariously perfect sentiment strip 'I'm sorry, did I roll my eyes out loud?' it's from Tim Holtz 'snarky chat' stickers.

Fun card, that I have earmarked for a good friend..

What retro goodie will you pull out and use? Don't forget to pop over to Retro Rubber and get inspired by the things the DT have made.

Challenge ends June 4.

Don't forget to tell us the age of your stamp, that is part of the fun of our challenge, and please only enter 10 challenges including Retro Rubber.

Fusion Card Challenge - Thank You

Hey,

Welcome to another fantastic Fusion Card Challenge.

This time with have 'Thank You' as a theme. As always both the sketch and the inspiration image are awesome.

Which will you try?

I loved both, so I fused them!

I liked the idea of a 'Thank You Dog', so I used the awesome Avery Elle 'Hot Dog' set, I think this stamp with the dog carrying a gift is my fave one.

I stamped it onto a die-cut circle - the die is 'Brilliant Rings' by Poppy Stamps and Jennifer Maguire 'enabled' me to buy it last year with her 'Fave Dies of 2020' video. This set of dies get a lot of use, I love the extra detail on the edges.

I paired my image with x2 paper scraps to match the sketch and added one of my fave go to's - a simple sentiment strip by Taylored Expressions.

Love this fun and simple card.

Challenge ends on May 25th.

Retro Rubber Challenge #158 Tic Tac Toe...

Hey,

Welcome to another fun Retro Rubber challenge.

This time we have another Tic Tac Toe board by our very own Jan.

I chose the middle horizontal line - Cake-Heat Embossing-Flowers.

I love this set by Flora & Fauna 'Birthday Day' I have had it since 2019 and it was perfect for this challenge.

I heat embossed it onto watercolour paper and watercoloured the cake and the flowers, the flowers are actually watercoloured with metallic paints, so IRL have a great shimmer to them.

I felt that the background paper was 'floral' in a loose way, and added a die-cut piece of vellum to lift the image off of the paper.

This card feels vaguely bridal..

Which row will you choose? Be sure to pop over to Retro Rubber and get inspired by the things the DT have made.

Challenge ends May 21st.

Don't forget to tell us the age of your stamp, that is part of the fun of our challenge, and please only enter 10 challenges including Retro Rubber.

Digital Scrapbooking: Bumper iNSD weekend with The Nifty Pixel...

Hey!

And welcome to May.. 10 days in.

The last 2 weeks have KICKED MY BUTT!!

First I was prepping for iNSD and then I got really sick and that wiped me out for 7 days. Then it was iNSD and then work just totally slapped me!

As I am a newbie to the digital scrapping world, my first iNSD (international scrapbooking day) was last year and it was SO much fun, games, and new shiny kits and discounts and sales and new friends, and and and...

This year I am on x2 Creative Teams for designers, so this is a big weekend for them and I needed to make a bunch of layouts to showcase their new gorgeous products - it would have been much easier if I hadn't been so unwell :(

Today I am sharing all the layouts I made for the Nifty Pixel - Em had a bumper release that weekend - x2 new kits and x3 new sets of page drafts!

The main photo uses the new Touch of Vintage page drafts with an older kit.

The next two layouts use Pep Talk bundle and the Pep Talk page drafts.

I am super proud of these layouts, I was sick, feeling a bit of stress because I wanted them to be SO good to repay Em's faith in me. And honestly, they really are some of my best work to date. I just relaxed into it in the end and stopped overthinking it all, a valuable lesson for me!
